Party politics has no place at the University of New Mexico. It’s time to stand up for students and faculty at UNM. Their reproductive health, and scientific progress are at risk.
According to the the ABQ Journal, 25 New Mexico state legislators wrote a letter inserting their own personal beliefs about abortion on UNM and pressuring the UNM regents to play politics with our education and healthcare by denying our community all aspects of reproductive health care.
These legislators are attacking and harassing an academic institution that brings great pride, quality education, and healthcare to the people of our great state.
Stand with UNM students, faculty, and the community to reject these attacks on UNM's medical professionals, faculty and students. Sign the petition to urge the UNM regents to call out the tactics of these legislators for what they are: inserting political agendas where they don't belong.
