Preserve Chaco Canyon from Development

    Not ? Click here.

The Bureau of Land Management is developing a long-term land use plan for the Four Corners area that could threaten special places like Chaco Canyon.

Ask the federal Bureau of Land Management to preserve Chaco Canyon's historic and beautiful places.

    Some things to consider:

    • People have protected Chaco Canyon's historic vistas and special places for more than 5,000 years.  We shouldn't be the generation that ruins it forever.
    • We can have a balanced energy policy that protects special places without interfering with responsible energy development.

Public comments on the plan are now open.

BLM is developing a 20 year plan for land use – including fracking and drilling – across Northwest New Mexico and the Four Corners.

Oil and gas companies are asking BLM for permission to frack around the park in ways that will forever alter the place held sacred by 5,000 years of people before us.

We need a balanced approach to land use that protects Chaco Canyon, its dark skies and the wildlife and people around it.
